The Five Seashells

Happy Monday!!! On weekends I do not work, I spend time in my stamp room. On todays project I used my Gelatos to create a vibrant background on white cardstock. I had so much fun with the bright yellows, oranges and reds with a water color brush. Using the Five Seashells from Art Neko and brown ink - I stamped over the colorful papers twice. I love this poem that Art Neko shared as well about our Seashells: Poem: To Find a Seashell

I used Red Tacky Tape strip across the card and added White Sanitized Craft Sand and gold sequins along the bottom to finish the card. So much fun playing with the sand!

The seashells remind me of my families time in Florida last February. We enjoyed our time in St. Augustine. The weather was a bit cloudy, but the ocean was beautiful. We visited the Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine where all of the bunkers and buildings were made of coquina, a virtually indestructible limestone comprised of broken sea shells and coral, the walls of the fortress remained impenetrable through 300 years of enemy shelling and pounding by violent storms.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project today.
