The Hope of a Brighter Future

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

Hey Friends, Now that I am in my mid 40's I can look back at some circumstances I had that were character building opportunities with a wisdom of knowing that there might be some things I can not change. I have 4 beautiful children, but with the oldest one, I didn't always do everything the right way. I did the best I knew how, but it wasn't perfect. That child had her own set of unique issues and still does, but some of my parenting and the personality issues we have together (think oil and water) have caused a temporary rift in our relationship. While the pain of the moment, I know will pass - there is hope in the future. The wisdom I have now knows more time is needed on both sides in order to heal, so in the future, there will be a desire of that relationship completely restored. In that is where my HOPE lies.

I had a great time creating this project for today's blog post. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has a new set called Pretty Potted Florals. The Creative Design Team has really been making some CUTE cards with this set too, be sure to look at the Design Team Blog when you are done perusing my website!

To create this card, take a piece of white cardstock and stamp the floral image using Memento Black Ink twice. Color one entire image using Chameleon Markers and just the floral portion of the second card. Once finished coloring the image, use scissors to cut around the center portion of the flower. Place a 3-D ZOT (Dimensional) on the back side of the center of the flower and place it on the floral image that was completely colored.

Layer the white piece of cardstock on a piece of burgundy. The background paper is a Designer series paper from Stampin' up!. Layer that one White cardstock and Burgundy cardstock. Stamp the word HOPE from the Words of Life stamp set using Burgundy Ink. In order to have it "pop" a bit, I used a white gel pen to highlight parts of the letters. To complete the card, use gold sequins and mini glue dots to adhere them to the card.

Hope you have a BLESSED day! Thank you for stopping by!
